Final Assignment Harbeck

8:56 AM Mr. H 0 Comments

My Life at Sargent Park.

The final Assignment of the year is to complete a retrospective of your memories of Sargent Park.  They can be great memories or good Memories.

In a slide deck brainstorm all the things you liked about SP
  • Before School
  • Friends
  • Grounders
  • Music
…. And the list goes on.

Once you have your list create a small creative writing project poem, short story, even sentences held together by your GCT work.

Your work to accompany the creative writing will include
  • Photographs edited in PS or elements (Pano, photo dirty, double exposure)
  • Small video (less than 1 min) edited in movie maker or iMovie
  • Photos edited/ cropped to help tell the story
  • Anything else to make your post super fantastic

We have a class Joomag account.  If you want to make a great Magazine to show off your work you are more than welcome.  Ask me for access to the School account.

This is the last assignment of the year.  We still have yearbook and grad video to do with the other section.

Enjoy

For this assignment we had to take multiple photos of the same person (or people, depending how much people you wanted to be in your picture) in different postions doing different actions, without the camera moving and merge the shots into one photo.

Sorry that this was late, after I found my SD card, some of my photos weren't showing up.

The goal of this photowalk was to take photos in the full sun and do post editing.  On the Macs or in Elements post produce 6 of your photos.  Show the before and the after.

You can

  • crop
  • straighten
  • add contrast
  • remove colour and create a B and W
  • the options are endless.
Your slide deck should have 3 slides per photo.
  1. Before Post Edit
  2. What you did in the post edit (text)
  3. Photo Post Edit

Lastly we had to take Tilt Shift pictures, where we take a small object and make it seem life size.

For this assignment, we were tasked to take macro photos, but not just any macro photos. We took macro photography of everyday objects as well as interesting ones. We also took some Guess What? That's What! photos, where you try to guess from the first picture what the object is. The final type of picture we took was tilt shift, where you make a miniature object look life size by putting it on, or beside, a large object.

For this assignment, we were told to give macro photography a go. Macro photography, or in other words extreme close up photography means that you take a photograph of an objects finest details. This can mean using a magnifying glass or manual focus. This assignment was fun to do since there were no limits.

Macro Photography

For this project we were assigned to try out macro photography without the actual use of a macro lense. Macro photography is zooming into an object really close. The most difficult part was trying to focus the camera to the object as best as possible, and trying to make sure the lighting was good. The easiest/fun part was trying to find something to take a picture of. It was satifying to see the picture after you took it, and it looks really professional.

For this photo assignment we were tasked to do macro photography without actual macro lenses. We used a normal lens and to magnify the zoom we used a magnifying glass. In this assignment we had to learn how to focus the camera ourselves. I enjoyed this assignment very much since we were able to go out and take pictures. I chose to take pictures of things that had very fine details. The most challenging part of this assignment was to get good macro photos. It was easy to zoom and focus on the object.

For this photo assignment, we did macro photography. We used a magnify glass and a camera to take photos of everyday objects and making them appear larger than life. In my slide deck it will show you what macro photography is and how to take them without those expensive lenses!

     These are my photos.

For this assignment, our class was assigned to do Macro Photography. Our first job was to look up images on the internet to get a better understanding of what Macro Photography is. Once we understood what Macro Photography is, we were given cameras to experience Macro Photography for ourselves. We were allowed to roam around the school to get objects for our pictures. Our next job was to have multiple examples from the internet of Macro Photography to give the audience a better understanding what Macro Photography is. We then had to make a project on Google Slides to show 15 Macro Photos of our own, 4 Tilt Shift Photos of our own, and 5 Guess What, That's What photos. To understand what I just explained, View my presentation:

This is my Macro Photography project. The first thing we did for this project was go on the internet to see what macro photography is. This project required us to take a picture of an object really close up so that the object seems larger. We were told that we had to have two tilt shifts, and five guess whats. So we went around the school to look for interesting objects to take a picture of and this is what I did:

We used a magnifying glass to use for macro photography instead of having a macro lens. We had to take pictures of many things in a close up angle.

For this project we were told to take macro shots of everyday items. with this project ive learnt a few things, one would be that to take better photos you have to angle some shots before you take the picture. another one would be that the closer you are to the object the better its going to look.

Photo-merge

The name of the assignment is self-explanatory. You take multiple photos of one subject (person of your choosing) and merge the pictures into one shot. We used Elements and the Photomerge Group-shot option in order to achieve our end products.
